Defensive Back Football Training

The Kansas City Athlete Training Football Academy Defensive Back Training Classes focus on the techniques needed to play any and all of the Defensive Back positions on the football field including corners and safeties.

Our Defensive Back Instructors work on backpedal, pass drops, defending a wide-receiver, proper drop angles, footwork and most importantly incorporate Tackling Fundamentals especially in open field.

This class is highly recommended for not only Defensive Backs (corners and safeties) but also for Linebackers to help with their pass coverage.

 

Football Academy Training Group Sessions (Turf)

 Football Academy – DEFENSE - Defense Backs - $40.00

Football Academy Classes start the week of January 12, 2026

  • AGE GROUP 1 CLASS  
  • CLASS DAY/TIME: Saturday Morning from 9:00am to 10:00am (Classes start in January and run thru July 2026)
  • CLASS DURATION: 1 Hour
  • Targeted Age Groups - (Kindergarten thru 5th Grade)
  • Location at Facility - Inside Front Area Turf
  • Recommended Class for Corners, Safeties, Linebackers - pass defense and tackling techniques
  • $40.00 per class or Unlimited Plans

  • CLASS DAY/TIME: Saturday Morning from 10:00am to 11:00am (Classes start in January and run thru July 2026)
  • CLASS DURATION: 1 Hour
  • Targeted Age Groups - (6th Grade thru High School)
  • Location at Facility - Inside Front Area Turf
  • Recommended Class for Corners, Safeties, Linebackers - pass defense and tackling techniques
  • $40.00 per class or Unlimited Plans

CLASS REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

You do not need to pre-register for any of the classes, simply arrive early for the specific time slot desired and pay at the class. Upon your first visit to Kansas City Athlete Training you will have to fill out a Release Waiver. All Classes can be paid at the location either in cash or by credit card.  We offer a new monthly plan options as well.

KC Athlete Football Strength & Conditioning Classes help all positions. Here we are training 6ft 7inch Defensive End James Williams on his jump explosion with lateral resistance as well as holding a 25lb weight.
